The ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Wished A Very Happy Father’s Day To Dad Steve

So, because America‘s weird and celebrate Father’s Day in June instead of September, your Twitter’s currently filled with the well-wishers of celebrities paying beautiful tributes to their fathers and father-figures.

Even Hugh Jackman posted a cute picture for the day… betraying his country.

Then we have the Stranger Things kids sending a “Happy Father’s Day” to Dad Steve AKA Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) – heartbreak kid and best babysitter out there.

In the video, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Max (Sadie Sink) wish Steve an adorable Happy Father’s day. Of course, they all roast him apart from Dustin because the two really connect in the second season. In case you need a memory jog, season two is when Steve and Dustin bond over dating advice and hair and Steve’s character goes from Season-One-Douche to Love-Of-My-Life.

In the video posted to the show’s Twitter, Mike, not wanting to make things awkward says, “I gotta say, I thought you were gonna be my future brother-in-law but after Nancy dumped you… you know you’re still part of the family.”

How sweet.

As you can imagine, Keery’s Instagram is now being inundated with well-wishers.

In other cheerful Father’s Day news, Ryan Reynolds has set an automatic email to his – extremely legitimate – Ryan@aviationgin.com. I, myself, thought it was a joke but as it turns out  you get a REPLY e-signed by Ryan Reynolds. It’s the closest we’ll ever get to the beautiful man so I’m taking it.

Anywhoo, risking my spam email account I went ahead and emailed Ryan at Aviation Gin and lo and behold, I got a REPLY.

For context, Ryan bought the gin company back in February.

That is a very terrible screenshot, my apologies.

The email reads:

“Thanks for your email. As the owner of Aviation Gin, I take all my emails seriously. Especially ones with pictures.

This is only my 2nd OUT OF OFFICE REPLY. From what I’m told, it should be short, sweet and NEVER overly personal or emotional.”

Of course, it bloody isn’t.

“Owning a gin company has been one of the great privileges of my life. And while it won’t quite make up for the nonexistent relationship I had with my father, it always warms my heart to see others celebrating paternal relationships which have been built on trust, warmth, and totally natural amounts of eye contact. That’s why this Father’s Day is the perfect time to give your dad the best: Aviation American Gin.

While my own father may be long gone, the unspoken tension we shared is alive and well. But let me tell ya… if I could turn back time, I wouldn’t be pouring Aviation Gin over his grave in the middle of the night. No sir… I’d be sittin’ across from him, clinking glasses and having an effervescent giggle about the fact I now own the finest Gin company on planet earth. He might say stuff like, “Hey, this Gin is pretty damn good” and “Boy howdy, that’s a gorgeous looking bottle” or, “I’ve never mentioned this before, but… you’re enough.”

This Father’s Day, you may not be able to give Dad a second chance, but you CAN get him a bottle Aviation American Gin. Or, if he died before either of you could even begin to comprehend the importance of closure, just get yourself a bottle.

Happy Father’s Day,

Ryan Reynolds”

Christ.

Well, Happy American-Father’s Day.
