‘Straight Outta Compton’ Has A Theatrical Trailer, And It Looks Beyond Incredible

If the first little teaser for Straight Outta Compton – the film chronicling the career of the NWA and its core members Ice Cube, Dr Dre and Eazy-E – wasn’t enough to get you amped up (and, real talk here for a moment, even the extended black and white intro featuring Dre and Cube driving around Compton talking about the old days was freaking awesome) then you’d better both check your own pulse, and strap in for an imminent psyching up.

The official theatrical trailer for the film has dropped and adds further weight to the argument that this film could turn out to be an absolute cracker.
The story of the world’s most dangerous group also coincides with a rather tumultuous time for the city of Los Angeles, meaning this isn’t exactly going to be your average musician biopic.

Ordinarily speaking, any film that has Paul Giamatti talking very seriously through his eyebrows is enough to have me lined up for it, but the impeccable casting and class warfare overtones that even the trailer displays are some seriously delicious icing on what looks to be a bloody well built cake.
Straight Outta Compton is scheduled for release on August 14th this year.
