Steve Carell & Rob McElhenney Want An ‘Office’ Vs ‘Always Sunny’ Crossover

For a brief second, it seemed like our dads Steve Carell and Rob McElhenney might be in some kind of a fight, but they’ve made up, and not only that, they’re teasing what might be the most wildly ambitious crossover of our times.

It all started when McElhenney posted a video from the building that serves as the exterior and parking lot of the Dunder Mifflin paper company.

“Apparently this is Dunder Mifflin, I guess, where they shot The Office,” he said on Instagram. “I wasn’t one hundred percent sure of that, but they’re gone now, they’re off the air, and now you got …”

He then panned to co-stars Danny DeVito and Charlie Day before taunting the rest of the Office crew about the show’s “cancellation.”

Various Office cast members, including B.J. Novak and Jenna Fischer, jumped on the post:

Then the big daddy of them all, Steve Carell, jumped in to broker peace between the warring Dunder Mifflin and Paddy’s Pub crews. “Rob, this blood feud has to end,” he said.

“It’s Always Sunny In Scranton.” Thoughts?

McElhenney was completely on board, and opened the bidding at five hundred million dollars to various networks and streaming services.

Realistically, this crossover may never happen, but we’d truly give a lot to see it get off the ground. Your move, Netflix.
