St Kilda Teen Claims Nixon Sent Threats

Last night on 60 Minutes the teenage girl at the focus of the latest AFL sex scandal spoke in length about her alleged relationship or “inappropriate dealings” with AFL player manager Ricky Nixon.

The 17-year-old revealed emails and text messages she claims to have received from Nixon, including suggestions of what she should tell the media when asked about the nature of the relationship providing her with the following ‘script’: “I want to clear the air about what happened that night in my hotel room. To put on the record that there was no sex and no drug taking. When I told people that I’d been having sex with him I never dreamt that it would get the coverage that it has I then put together a video that gives the impression that we had sex and drugs.”

Nixon is also alleged to have written her subsequent text messages, including one that said: “Your choice if you don’t do it not only will there be no future for us but you’ll have 100s of people associated with me who will want revenge on you and that will be with you for the rest of your life.”

The Melbourne teenager gained attention after posting a selection of NSFW (Not Safe For Work) photos of the Saint Kilda AFL team on her facebook page which subsequently went viral in December 2010. At the time she claimed to have taken the photos herself but last night on 60 Minutes the girl confessed that she accessed the pictures from the computer of a St Kilda player, citing revenge as the reason for posting them on the internet: “I felt like I was the one who was being blamed,” she said. “I was being made out to look like this girl who was this big sort of skank.”
