Steve Carell Commands A Space Force / Is The World’s Best Boss Again In New Netflix Comedy

Netflix has unveiled a first look at Space Force starring the one and only Steve Carell. All I can say is that we’re not in Scranton anymore, folks.

The series comes from co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels (The Office!!!), and is described as a “new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are high and the ambitions even higher.” Howard Klein, who also worked on The Office, serves as executive producer, with Daniels as showrunner.

Space Force focuses on decorated pilot / four-star general Mark R. Naird (Carell) who dreams of running the Air Force one day. But he’s thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.

Hell yes.

John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake fill the excellent cast.

I don’t know about you lot, but I’ve bloody missed seeing Steve Carell on my telly.

Space Force will premiere May 29 only on Netflix. LOCK IT IN.

If you’re feeling a sudden urge to binge The Office, you can find all nine seasons of the beloved workplace comedy on Amazon Prime Video. Suss it our right here.
