Source Says Caitlyn Jenner Won ESPY Award In Exchange For ‘I Am Cait’ Airtime

Caitlyn Jenner winning the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs on Wednesday was a fantastic achievement, and her acceptance speech was fantastically moving. But now, an anonymous source has come forward to say that the award was negotiated previous to the night in exchange for airtime on Jenner’s reality show.

According to Radar Online, Jenner’s reps approached ESPN and suggested that she win the award, and offered PR plugs and footage of the broadcast on her popular reality show ‘I Am Cait’
The source says that negotiations for the award began before Jenner’s pivotal interview with Dianne Sawyer, which was shown on the US network, ABC. Both ESPN and ABC are owned by Disney, and it is alleged that Jenner’s agents threatened to pull the interview with Sawyer if Jenner did not receive the Courage award.
We will post more on this story as it develops.
