It’s five days until Sophie Monk begins her reign on our television screens as this year’s Bachelorette.
Some have had their doubts about the celebrity busting open the tried-and-true format of the show (which usually picks a commoner like ourselves to be the centre of attention from a bevy of buff beaus, thus preserving the illusion that we, too, could fall in love and go to Thailand – HA).
If anyone remains dubious after this particularly genius bit of promo, though, I’ll eat a bunch of tacky red roses, because Sophie Monk is hilarious and charming and I want to be her best friend.
The straight-shooting beautiful bogan appears on Instagram talking through the top five things she’s looking for in a man, and never has a gorgeous blonde former pop star been so fucken relatable.
Highlights: she’d prefer if her future paramour were straight, she’s bored to death by gyms and protein shakes (GIRL, SAME), and she doesn’t want to go out with anyone prettier than her.
