Australia‘s sweetheart Sophie Monk spilled all the goss on her new squeeze to Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 106.5 this morning, and girrrrrrl, we are so happy for you.
As News.com.au reports, Monk told the radio duo that she met the bloke while flying business class outta Europe. She had just finished up filming a travel show in Italy, so exhausted she hopped onto the flight with her “hair extensions… falling out“, and “her eyelashes coming down [her] face“. Yet by the end of their ten-hour flight they were macking on.
Okay, we’re down, we’re into this, diiiiiiiish, please.
“I’m sitting next to this random and it was business class but there was no divider.”
They ordered a cheeky champers and start chatting: “He was so charming and funny and he had no idea what I did.” ‘
And then three champagnes deep – and the booze hits you real hard when you’re up in the air, y’know? – she did what any queen would, and unashamedly asked him for a smooch.
I was sitting there for a while and I went, ‘Hey, um, are you single?’ And he went, ‘Yeah.’ I went, ‘I don’t ever get to meet people in normal scenarios and, um, can I kiss you?’
I thought, ‘Oh god I’ve got a ten-hour flight with this guy, if he says no I’m in trouble.’
Since then the pair have “not stopped speaking“, and are officially boyfriend-girlfriend.
Sophie’s pleased: “He’s not using me, he doesn’t need anything.”
Although Monk did admit that the pair have only met once: “When I say it out loud it doesn’t really make sense… but it does to me. I feel like it’s going to work. He’s normal, down-to-earth, intelligent. He thinks I’m smart, that’s the problem.”
The lucky Aussie bloke lives overseas, and the pair plan to meet up real soon. Wishing the lovebirds all the best.
