Sophie Lowe Lands Role of Alice In American TV Spin-Off ‘Once: Wonderland’

Sophie Lowe, alabaster English rose unearthed via Australia’s answer to The Brother’s Karamazov, The Slap, has landed the dream role of Alice in a big-budget ABC [American, duh] Alice in Wonderland spin-off titled Once: Wonderland. Deadline are reporting that Lowe, model slash actress, scored the lead role in the Once Upon A Time offshoot, set in a pre-curse, pre-Burton Wonderland, and describing the pilot as thus:

The story is told through the point of view of Alice (Lowe) who has a generous heart but carries the scars of a long hard life. She is joined by two other characters, Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), Alice’s love interest with a background shrouded in mystery, and the Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha), a sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker.
A generous heart that bears the scars of a long life at the tender age of tween-something, shrouds of mystery and sardonic adventures ensure that should the production, which begins shooting April 7th in Vancouver, get picked up for a full season we can expect to see Lowe Waskowsking her way in Hollywood soon enough; slapping The States into thespian submission, etc.
