Sony Is So Despo To Have Daniel Craig Back As Bond They’ve Offered $200M

As the old saying goes, “treat ’em mean, keep ’em keen”, and Daniel Craig is the meanest, keenest player out there. Or something.

Sony is reportedly so despo to have him back as James Bond that they’ve offered him a staggering US$150 million (AUD $197.8 million) to come back for two more films, despite the actor saying he’d “rather slash my wrists” than reprise the role.

“The studio is desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor,” a ‘source’ told Radar.

“Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchoes are concerned.

“Daniel’s the key for a seamless, safe transition as far as Sony and Bond bosses are concerned, and they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom for it.”

Craig is already the highest paid Bond actor in the franchise’s history, netting a total of AUD $66 million for the four films he’s already appeared in. Which makes the almost AUD $200 mill a fucking joke.

So yeah. Despite fervent arguments online that the next Bond should be Tom Hiddleston (eh) or Idris Elba (bingo) or even a gender-flipped misogynist woman (whaaaa??!!!!???!!!), the studios are dead keen on Craig.
