Some Kind Soul Bought Broke Aussie Actress’ Silver Logie For $4050

Rowena Wallace, the 65 year old Australian television actress best known for her Gold Logie winning performance as Patricia “Pat The Rat” Hamilton in Australian soap opera classic Sons and Daughters, has successfully sold the now-dispensable mint condition Silver Logie she won in 1984, then put up for auction on eBay last week. The sale occurred just three
months after the actress attempted to sell her Gold Logie (also from 1984) on the online auction site, but failed to due to legal reasons. Reasons which have since been sidestepped.

“The legal issue that forced Rowena to withdraw her Logie from sale
previously has now been sorted out,”
read the seller’s description. “The award has been professionally cleaned however still shows signs of wear and tear.”

All words which appealed to at least two people on earth with the “cherished” one of a kind item attracting three bids from two parties, eventually selling for $50 above reserve at $4050 to officially become the world’s most expensive novelty paperweight.

The actress, whose struggles financially have been well documented in the past few years, plans to use the money to move to Queensland.
