Aside from all the bands, beers, and barney of Splendour In The Grass, there’s also the annual Forum. Mixing in big chats, big ideas, big science, big laughs, and big, loud shirts of Dr Karl, the forum tent provides a nice little escape from the party for those who want to get inspired from some of the country’s best and brightest.

This year’s offering in the tent of Big Thinky Time™ is second to none – between exploring the science behind the shoey (yuck), a double feature from the nation’s darling Will Connolly aka Eggboy, and laughing heartily at the likes of Luke McGregor, Aaron ‘Gocsy’ Gocs, Gen Fricker and more, you’re very likely going to find yourself resting your feet in the forum’s pews at some point across the Splendour weekender.
Last year I watched on as Henry Rollins was the token, active listening male on a panel about #MeToo, and damn nearly wet myself at Aunty Donna turned the tent into a fit of hysterics. It’s good shit, folks. Real head-scratchin’, knee-slappin’ good shit.
The 2019 Splendour Forum is the perfect haven for those of us who love to nerd out on podcasts that blend comedy and trivia and learning (yes I’m looking right at you, No Such Thing As A Fish) so peep the whole weekend’s lineup to wrap your brains around.
