‘For The People’ Is Back To Fill The ‘Suits’-Shaped Hole In Your Heart

For The People Second Season

ATTN Suits lovers: are you slightly devo that this season’s programming has finished on Foxtel? Are you wondering what you’re going to do with your pretty selves on Thursday nights? Are you searching for a new legal drama to sink your teeth into?

Well, never fear, my dear compadres. You don’t have to switch up your routine at all, because Shonda RhimesFor the People is back for its second season and it’s replacing Suits‘ Thursday time slot on Foxtel’s Universal TV channel.

It is.

For The People, which premiered its first season mid-last year, is set in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (yes, that is one hefty IRL name) and depicts six young lawyers working on differing sides of the law and a whole heap of subsequent spicy drama.

BRB, going to go buy one of those barrister wigs, a frilly neckpiece and a gavel because I’m ready to get all ~brooding~ and ~legal~.

Quick sidebar: not that Shonda Rhimes needs any introduction – she’s literally the queen of Hollywood – but she’s also the mastermind behind Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, so you know anything she touches turns to gold.

This season, Charles Michael Davis joins an already-stellar lineup including familiar faces such as Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Wesam Keesh. *Shivers*

The second season premieres on Foxtel (Universal TV, to be precise) this Thursday 2 May at 8.30PM. Black out your windows, grab some popcorn and peep the trailer below to get excited some slappin’ legal drama content.

For The People is a Suits-mourner’s delight. Case adjourned.
