G’day, there’s whispers getting about that Dancing With The Stars judge Sharna Burgess might be the next bachelorette. I, uh, am not very fluent in the world of dance so I’m not very familiar with Sharna. In saying that, I just stalked her Instagram and she seems so lovely.
Sharna recently appeared on Nova’s podcast The Babble hosted by Nat Bass (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) and Matty J (Matthew Johnson) to chat about the aforementioned Bachie talk.
Sharna said she’s “absolutely” keen to find love, and revealed that chatter for her to be our next bachelorette has “multiplied” recently.
“Everyone is on board for me to do this show and everyone is really interested in me doing it,” she said on the podcast.
“That’s talking friends, family, and everyone I have an interview with right now is asking me about it. I’m the one who’s like ‘I don’t know!’”
Bachelor producers actually approached Sharna at the races last year, which is how this all started. They asked her if The Bachelorette was something that a) she was genuinely interested in and b) actually wanted to do.
“We haven’t talked about it since then because I’ve been very on the fence, but I feel like if I really wanted to and wanted to commit, it could be something,” she said.
HMM.
But here’s the thing, Sharna currently splits her time between LA and Sydney… so that already throws a spanner in the works.
“I work a lot over there and I work a lot of here,” she explained. “I am hoping to spend more time here in Australia because of family – when it comes time to having kids, I want to raise them in Australia.”
But for now, Sharna’s very much back and forth between the two countries.
