This morning turned out to be relatively eventful. It started out with me minding my own business and going through my usual routine – washing my clothes, eating kiwis, dealing with a multitude of existential crises… you know, the usual – until I opened up my laptop and was SMACKED IN THE FUCKING FACE by Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star‘s first trailer for their upcoming docuseries The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star. I then peed a little.

The trailer itself, set to the soundtrack of Catie Turner‘s “Prom Queen”, is very ambiguous and doesn’t really allude to much apart from the fact that we’ll be following the duo around as they deal with business, subscribers and e-drama.

Near the end of the video, however, James Charles‘ face pops up on a projector – I well and truly shrieked.

Me when someone mentions a James Charles scene in the docuseries.

It seems like we’ll be getting a BTS look at the entire Tati-James-Jeffree tea and I’m here for it… because I’m a messy bitch who lives for the drama. Peep them watching James and Tati’s videos, as well as James’ plummeting subsciber-count, with hands of their mouths. (At this point I need to make one thing clear – I stan Shane, Jeffree and James equally. They’re my LGBTQ YouTube children and I simply won’t pick a favourite. Now let’s carry on…)

Shane, who has over 22 million subs, has since cemented himself as the king of the YouTube docuseries format – his recent Jake Paul and Eugenia Cooney respective docuseries, as well as Jeffree Star’s past series on his channel, all shut the internet down. Anything he touches turns to gold (and lots of views and money), so we know this is going to be the shit.

I now wait with baited breath and a tingly belly in anticipation. Check out the below trailer for The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star, due to land on screens October 1.
