A SATC Source Spilled The ‘Top Secret’ Tea That A Main Character Gets Killed Off In The 1st Ep

**I’d just like to preface this by saying I know we’ve given away a major spoiler here, but only because it’s not ~technically~ a spoiler since it’s not confirmed. The Sex and the City team is probs throwing out tons of decoys to throw people off the scent of what really goes down as a result of all the leaks that have been occurring. So basically, just enjoy the tea but take it with a huge grain of salt (I guess it would be sugar in this case?)**

I’ve been hearing rumblings for a while now that the Sex and the City reboot is going to kill off a major character in the forthcoming revival, And Just Like That, but the question is: who?

Could it be Samantha? Well, it would certainly make sense, considering she’s the only OG character who hasn’t returned for the revival (even bloody Bitsy is back, but no Samantha?).

Then a production insider recently told Daily Mail that the “door is open” for Kim Cattrall to return in season 2 (yep, they’ve already announced season 2), so it’s sounding like Samantha is getting out of this alive, whether she likes it or not.

The other big option (literally) is Mr. Big.

Fun fact: In the canned Sex and the City 3 movie, the plot was going to be that Carrie’s hubby carks it, and our girl would have to deal with becoming a widow.

Now that the movie has been scrapped in favour of the telly series, it’s hard to say if they’re gonna follow the same storyline, especially since we’ve already seen Chris Noth filming multiple scenes with Carrie.

But a production source has just confirmed to Daily Mail that Big is set to be killed off in the first ep. Yikes.

“This is all top secret at the moment, because production has just started, but in the first episode fans will be served up a jaw-dropping storyline where one of the major names on the show will die,” the insider revealed.

“Those in the know are calling it a ‘big death’, which obviously has everyone leaping to the conclusion that Mr. Big will be no more.”

Apparently only senior cast and crew have been told about this and they’ve been “sworn to secrecy”.

“Only the leading stars and show executives are aware of this presently and are desperate to keep a lid on it – a coffin lid,” they said.

It’s all ‘cos executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker wants to “shake up audiences from the get go to make them realise this is a different paced show from the previous one, where anything can happen and anyone can go… just like life”, the source said.

The insider went on to say that Big’s death will prompt Carrie to reunite with characters she’s had “rocky relationships” with in the series. Interesting!

And Just Like That is currently being filmed and will likely be out at some point in the next 12 months or so.
