Seth Rogen Apologises for His Controversial ‘American Sniper’ Tweet

Given the amount of heat he’s been catching recently, pooh bear Seth Rogen is probably ready to comfort eat a few dozen jars of hunny and then retreat into hibernation for a few months.
Firstly, there was that time his movie The Interview led to a large-scale hack at Sony Pictures, terrorist threats, and a gepolitical incident in which the whole of North Korea’s internet was shut down.
Then there was the time he maybe threw some snark at the wildly popular American Sniper, saying it reminded him of the fake sniper film in Inglourious Basterds, and bringing the full weight of Twitter’s Team ‘Murica down upon him.
Things escalated quickly, to the point where Rogen has issued an apology-slash-clarification-slash-stop fucking piling on me you guys, explaining his original Tweet:

“My comment about the movie was not meant to have any political implications,” he said, apologising to those who were offended. “Any political meaning was ascribed by news commentary.”
In separate Tweets, he added:

We haven’t seen American Sniper yet but we are already fangin hard for the fake baby scene.
