Seth MacFarlane, 20-Year FOX Employee, Is “Embarrassed” To Work For Them

Seth MacFarlane, a man who has routinely taken large amounts of money off of the FOX Network since 1999, has boldly gone on the record to declare that maybe the company is actually bad now.

MacFarlane, he of Family Guy which has aired 309 episodes on FOX across 16 seasons, has taken umbrage with FOX family member FOX News and its iron-clad grip on cable news in America.

In particular, MacFarlane was none-too-pleased with perennial FOX host/annoying yapping dog Tucker Carlson who, despite FOX’s 197-month streak as the cable news leader in America, reportedly told FOX viewers “If you’re looking to understand what’s actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations.” Ahh yes FOX News. The humble battler.

In response, MacFarlane took to Twitter, rightly chastising that absurd statement as a call for viewers to close their minds to anything but the factually inept drivel FOX News spurts, stating that things like that make him “embarrassed to work for this company.” Buddy, welcome to the resistance.

FOX and its related companies are currently the subject of an intense takeover war, with both Disney and Comcast vying to purchase the television arms of 20th Century Fox. Disney’s bid would see the FOX Network, FOX News, and much of FOX Sports spun off into a new entity entitled New Fox.

MacFarlane, who has created and spearheaded four successful television shows on FOX over the past 20 years, is reportedly set to review his contract at FOX which expires in 2019. Whether this means he joins the continuing exodus of creative talent from FOX in recent times remains to be seen.
