Selena Gomez has come out swinging for Taylor Swift amid her latest round of record label drama, accusing Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta of “robbing” her after Braun’s recent purchase of Big Machine Records.

Swift put the pair on blast in a statement yesterday, saying that they are refusing to grant certain licensing permissions unless she agrees to strict terms. She says this will affect her coming performance at the American Music Awards as well as a planned Netflix documentary.
Overnight, Selena Gomez posted a statement of her own on Instagram, saying:
“My heart is so heavy right now. It makes me sick and extremely angry. (I don’t mind if there may be retaliation) this is my opinion. It’s greed, manipulation, and power. There is no heart or thought of anyone else. No respect for the words my friend has written since she was a 14-year-old in her bedroom.”
She continued:
“You’ve robbed and crushed one of our best song writers of our time an opportunity to celebrate all of her music with her fans and the world.”

Big Machine Records released a lengthy statement in response to the latest round of Taylor Swift drama, although it does not specifically address her core complaint that they are withholding permissions unless she agrees not to re-record new versions of her old songs.
