Seems Jodhi Meares Won’t be Charged For Driving on a Suspended License

Socialite Jodhi Meares was due to front up to a Sydney court this morning following a drink driving incident in June, but in a not-particularly-shocking twist, she didn’t appear, and it seems as if several of the charges are being dropped.
Jodhi Meares’ Wild Ride saw her smash into three parked cars in Bellevue Hill on June 21, while driving on a suspended license. She allegedly blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.181 after the incident.
ABC News report that this morning, Meares’ lawyer Chris Murphy appeared for her in Waverly Local Court, and indicated that police would be dropping two charges of driving on a suspended license.
He did not enter a plea on the charge of drink driving. Meares is due to appear in court again on August 20, although who knows? By that time, she may be appearing at the unveiling of a bronze statue of herself outside the building.
