The publication reports that there are currently no deets about who will write or direct the film and it’s also unknown if any stars from the previous flicks will be returning.
The saga follows the tortured life of Sidney Prescott (played by beloved scream queen Neve Campbell) who finds herself under attack by Ghostface in the various incarnations of the film.
Joining Campbell for all four flicks was Friends’ Courtney Cox and her ex-husband David Arquette.
Other big names that have appeared in the franchise include Drew Barrymore, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Laurie Metcalf, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kelly Rutherford, Patrick Dempsey, Adam Brody, Emma Roberts and Younger‘s Nico Tortorella (and many more).
The four movies racked up over $604M, and the TV series on MTV ran 29 episodes across three seasons.
