Channel Ten Presenter Scott Tweedie Rumoured To Be The Next ‘Bachie’

Now that The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are donezo for 2018, punters have begun speculating which Aussie celebs or ex-contestants will be cast in the roles for next year’s round of Bachie-mania.

According to a new report by Confidential, producers of the show are already sussing out potential Bachelors and have hit up The Loop co-host Scott Tweedie.

An insider close to the presenter confirmed that he was approached for the role after Channel Ten executives found out he had broken up with his girlfriend of five years, Daily Mail reports.

“When they found out that Scott was single, they were straight to him with an offer to be the next Bachelor,” the publication reported.

“Scott is already comfortable in front of the camera, he is very different to the recent guys who have been on the show.”

Another insider speculated that Scott might not be down to be Australia’s next Bachelor as he’s allegedly concerned about how it would affect his career.

“Scott would be great but I doubt he will do it. He doesn’t seem very keen,” a mate of the presenter said.

“He has worked pretty hard to get where he is and this could impact his future,” the friend said, adding that “he hardly needs help with the ladies”.

Tweedie has yet to confirm or deny this report so we’ll just chalk this one up as a rumour for now and keep our eyes peeled for the cast announcement of Bachelor In Paradise.
