Sam Neill Is Reuniting With Dino-Bro Jeff Goldblum In The New ‘Thor’ Flick

Australia and New Zealand’s not-so-secret plan to totally overtake the Marvel Cinematic Universe is making damn fine progress, ’cause Sam Neill has landed himself a role in the upcoming Antipodean gunshow Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview discussing his whimsical smash-hit Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Neill revealed he’ll be upping the film’s honorary Aussie quotient alongside Thor himself Chris Hemsworth and series newcomer Cate Blanchett.

When pressed on whether Wilderpeople director Taika Waititi – who is also helming Ragnarok – had penciled Neill in for a gig in the MCU, Neill said  “I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is, I am actually… I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here.”
“I had to sign all sorts of things. So if I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents – and they are lethal – will come and get me and probably my children, as well.”
So, that’s obviously bloody fantastic news (well, not for his kids, but hey), but it somehow gets even better when you realise Neill will be reunited with his Jurassic Park bro Jeff Goldblum, who has also been enlisted as space wizard The Grandmaster.
Here’s a pretty solid estimation of our faces when we clocked that one:

Thor: Ragnarok is slated for release in November next year, which is probably just enough time for Waititi to crowbar in a plotline about ancient Norse raptors wreaking havoc in our dimension.
