Sacha Baron Cohen Used His Golden Globes Speech To Melt Rudy Giuliani One More Blessed Time

Sacha Baron Cohen roasts Rudy Giuliani at the Golden Globes

Sacha Baron Cohen managed to take home the Golden Globes for best actor and best motion picture, and during his acceptance speech he used the opportunity to roast melt Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani one more time. It was a momentous occasion to witness.

In case you need a refresher, Rudy Giuliani was the victim of perhaps the most memorable stunt in 2020’s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. In the movie, he can be seen ~adjusting his zipper~ while supposedly being interviewed by Borat’s young daughter Tutar. Take from that what you will.

“I’ve got to say this movie couldn’t have been possible without my co-star – a fresh new talent who came out of nowhere and turned out to be a comedy genius,” Sacha Baron Cohen said in his acceptance speech, which he presumably gave via webcam in his adopted home of Australia.

“I’m talking, of course, about Rudy Giuliani. I mean, who could get more laughs out of one of one unzipping. Incredible.

“Our movie was just the beginning for him. Rudy went on to star in a string of comedy films. Hits like Four Seasons Landscaping, Hair Dye Another Day and Courtroom Drama: A Very Public Fart.”

Giuliani is a walking, talking meme, and Baron Cohen somehow managed to squeeze all his greatest hits since the film’s release into one brief acceptance speech at the Golden Globes.

During the whole speech his wife, Isla Fisher, watched on with the loving smile of the world’s greatest hypewoman. Adorable is an understatement.

He then went on to thank his co-star, Bulgarian actor Maria Bakalova, who played Tutar and was vital in conning Giuliani.

He concluded that it was essential to get the movie released before last year’s US presidential election in order “to show the danger of lies, hate and conspiracies, and the power of truth, empathy and democracy.”

Bakalova also got a shoutout from fellow award-winner Rosamund Pike.

“[To] my fellow nominees, I’m so honored to be in this room with you,” she said.

“In my movie, I had to swim up from a sinking car. I would still rather do that than being in a room with Rudy Giuliani. Maria, I salute your bravery.”

Of course, the stans started sharing fancams to celebrate the moment.

Two wins for the king and he’s still got it in him to savage Giuliani one final time.

Wawaweewa, indeed.
