Ryan Reynolds Is At It Again After “Leaking” ‘Detective Pikachu’ To YouTube

Never underestimate the lengths Ryan Reynolds will go to to promote a movie while also giving everyone a good old-fashioned stitch-up.

The star of Detective Pikachu got on Twitter earlier this morning to do a little detective work of his own, alerting Warner Bros studio bosses to an apparent high quality leak of the entire movie which is only just now hitting cinemas worldwide.

But all is not what it seems.

At first glance, the “leaked” video quite clearly bares Reynolds’ watermark, meaning whoever did this dastardly deed got the movie from Reynolds’ own personal advance copy.

For a major movie star to have their own watermarked screener leaked would be a catastrophic scandal, and would surely completely change how Hollywood studios distribute preview cuts of their films.

But then we watched a bit further and, well…

You might as well see it for yourself.

Unbelievable that the entire movie would just be on YouTube like that, and in such high quality too! You’d think YouTube would’ve yanked it down by now.

Great movie. Way better than any of us could ever have anticipated. Give Reynolds an Oscar for his performance.

Detective Pikachu is in cinemas across Australia now if you feel like actually paying for it. But after watching that, why would you.
