Ryan Gosling To Shoot A Film In Australia?

This morning IF Films reported that Ryan Gosling might be starring in upcoming Australian film Dust And Glory which means that, subsequently, about 55% of the Australian population could soon become hardened stalkers.

IF writes: “Ryan Gosling is understood to be in talks to star in outback racing film Dust and Glory”, the same movie that was believed to be the reason a convincing but unfounded Ryan Gosling Doppelganger was spotted in Melbourne this June. But don’t go out and buy a pair of infrared binoculars just yet, because the casting update is still just rumour at this stage. Still, it does seem like the kind of project that Gosling would be involved in.

According to the Dust and Glory website, the film is pitched as “an explosive action adventure romance set against the most astonishing road race on the planet”, based on the 1950’s redex car race trials – a 10,000 mile event that went right around Australia in the days of dirt roads.

Gosling has already revealed his fondness for roles involving fast-moving vehicles and smaller budgets in Drive for which he played a Hollywood stunt man and getaway driver. Next we’ll see him on screen as a motorcycle stunt rider in to-be-released flick The Place Beyond the Pines which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this week. With a remake of the 1970s sci-fi thriller Logan’s Run the only acting gig lined up on Gosling’s dance card right now, surely a shoot in Australia isn’t entirely out of the question.

Alright everyone, you know what to do:
