Russell Crowe Barking Mad After His New Pup Was Turned Away From A Footy Game

In news that’s highly upsetting and frankly bloody un-Australian, Russell Crowe has revealed that he and his new blue heeler pup were denied entry to a suburban footy game last weekend, while another dog owner, walking a poodle, was able to walk right in.

The Academy Award-winning Gladiator star was attending at Mascot Oval to watch a Souths Juniors match, with his new puppy QueBlue in tow, when an angry official turned them away, informing him of a strict no dogs policy at the grounds.

We’ll preface this with a photo of QueBlue. Look at this pup. I mean, just fucking look at him. How could you deny this little fella entry anywhere? He should be given the key to the city of Sydney and all the treats he ever wants. But I digress.

After being refused entry with his pup, Crowe was bemused to see another fan walk straight in with her poodle, apparently telling officials it was the “team mascot”. Righty-o then.

Rusty eventually made his way into the grounds to watch the match, after a friend agreed to look after QueBlue, but he’s still upset about this very clear dog act.

Per reports in The Daily Telegraph, the Rabbitohs owner said:

The pup is just a bit young to leave by himself in a car … I prefer my upholstery without bite marks. He lives up in Coffs and is only visiting the state capital. Not a nice way to treat visitors from the bush. Besides, he’s a Blue Heeler. Shouldn’t that be revered in this state? Especially in league circles. That might be the NSW Blues team woes explained right there.

We’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was just kidding around about leaving the little guy in the car, but either way, it’s been a weird week for dogs in the media.
