The 1st Trailer For Stan’s Drag Race Down Under Is Here & Ru’s Already Calling Our Looks Rotten

RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under

Gather round the girls and start those mother-tucking engines, because the first official trailer for Stan Original’s RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is here, and it looks absolutely incredible. Let’s dive in.

For the first time, we get to see the werkroom, the queens in action, the makeup stations and RuPaul interacting with the queens one-on-one. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that in the trailer, Coco Jumbo, a massive Sydney drag star who I’ve seen, is just casually chatting with RuPaul. Crazy.

We also get a glimpse at a few critiques from superstar judge Michelle Visage, who says she’s “absolutely gobsmacked” by someone’s look on the runway, and not in a good way.

“I’m searching for Down Under’s Drag Race superstar. You’ve gotta have a whole lot of Perth-onality,” says RuPaul in the trailer.

But hey, you didn’t come here to read words, you came here to watch trailers. Dig in right here and enjoy.

Now, allow me to put on my super sleuth hat for a moment, bear with me.

In the trailer, Coco Jumbo is talking to RuPaul about two previous outfits, and RuPaul calls the first one “rotten.”

From this information, we can assume that the first episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will consist of two runways, just like the first episode of the UK season does.

On the UK season, the queens are asked to show a look that represents their hometowns partnered with another lewk, but seeing as Coco doesn’t sound proud of her first look, we can assume that maybe she had to make it on the show.

Does Coco lip sync for her life on episode 1 and win? We’ll just have to wait and see.

There’s also a scene where you can see the queens running into the room and I totally counted nine. For reference, the show is starting with ten contestants.

I’m not gonna say who is missing but if you’re an eagle-eyed fan like me, you might be able to spot it.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will be hitting our screens on Stan May 1, so get excited.
