Rumour Has It RuPaul Has Touched Down In NZ To Film The Aussie Drag Race, So Shantay You Stay

Okrrrrr it looks like RuPaul is in New Zealand, and seeing as the Aussie season of Drag Race is being filmed there, that can only mean one thing…. RuPaul will be judging the new season.

Sources told New Zealand Express that the Queen herself touched down on Friday morning and checked into a plush quarantine hotel. She will now begin her 14-day quarantine and then sashay away into production.

The reason the show is being filmed in New Zealand and not Aus, is rumoured to be because of the Sydney COVID cluster. Welp.

But totally fair enough! Can you imagine if one of the Queens got COVID? It would be a disaster. Tom Hanks getting COVID in Australia was enough.

It is also rumoured that production will commence on January 29. AND apparently we’ll be getting episodes in late 2021, which means that if we’re still in this COVID mess by then, I at least have something to look forward to.

According to Daily Mail, the cast members have already been low-key selected and they’ve leaked some of the Aussies and Kiwi’s that are rumoured to be contestants.

“It’s 100 per cent going ahead. Queens have been cast and they’ve signed NDAs [non-disclosure agreements] to keep it hush-hush,” an exclusive source told Daily Mail.

Just by stalking the alleged Drag Queen’s Instas, it looks like it’s sure to be one hell of a season.

You can peep the list of Queens and their IG’s here.

Gentlemen, start your engines because RuPaul is here baby.
