The speculation surrounding Megan Fox’s Transformers 3 replacement is a pretty effective way to drum up media attention in a film that no one really cares about. That can’t of been Michael Bay’s intention from the start but with last week’s announcement of Megan Fox’s departure from the franchise, the internet has been abuzz with possible replacements – including Australian model Miranda Kerr.
Now, according to Deadline Hollywood the shortlist of three potential starlets (Rose Huntington-Whiteley, Brooklyn Decker and actress Sarah Wright) has been whittled down to one, with Huntington-Whiteley winning the part save any negotiation hurdles or studio flip-flopping. Says Deadline: “The other actresses on the short-list have been informed that the female lead will go to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, so unless things fall apart at the negotiating table, she’s the new Transformers 3 gal.”
Funnily enough Huntington-Whiteley has never acted in her life but she is a Victoria’s Secret Angel who dates UK action man Jason Statham and that’s pretty much two-thirds of the Transformers recipe right there. Victoria’s Secret meets Jason Statham meets Robots. Easy right? Now pretend that blue screen is a robot and Shia LaBeouf is attractive.
