Ronny Chieng Absolutely Nailed His Debut Appearance On “The Daily Show”

With Trevor Noah now firmly in the driver’s seat of The Daily Show following Jon Stewart stepping aside a couple of months ago, some of the new elements to this iteration of the show are starting to show their heads.

One of those new elements comes in the form of ‘Strayan/Malaysian comedian Ronny Chieng, whose meteoric rise through the ranks of comedy has been truly something to behold.
Chieng was pegged to step into the role as a Correspondent on the show – a highly coveted comedy gig in the US that has launched the careers of, among other people, Steve Carrell, Ed Helms, Stephen Colbert, Michael Che, John Oliver, and Rob Corddry.
On the episode that aired in the US late yesterday, Chieng made his debut appearance on the show, filling the role of The Daily Show‘s “senior technology correspondent” in a segment about new advancements in virtual reality tech.
The verdict? Nailed it.
