Gotham‘s Robin Lord Taylor has joined the cast of Netflix‘s You season two. Taylor stars as Oswald Cobblepot – otherwise known as Penguin – in the Batman prequel series. It’s a creepy and rather eccentric role and Taylor absolutely smashes it… so he’s perfect for You… if his character goes down a Joe-esque path.
Taylor also has The Walking Dead to his name and has a role in the forthcoming John Wick 3.
The actor will star as a bloke named Will but his description is a just a tad suss.
“Will deals with unsavory sorts as part of his job, but is himself a thoughtful, personable, and highly intelligent guy who marches to the beat of his own drummer. That is, until he gets trapped in a bad situation.”
You, based on the novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, tells the tale of seriously unhinged bookstore manager Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) who develops an unhealthy obsession with a woman named Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).
Season two will be loosely based on the second book in the series titled Hidden Bodies. In it, Joe travels to Los Angeles where he meets Love Quinn, an aspiring chef who isn’t too keen on social media.
Oh yeah, season two’s already a big bloody go.
The Haunting of Hill House‘s Victoria Pedretti will star as Love Quinn and Ambyr Childers will return as the mysterious Candace.

In a show as wild and cooked as this one, here’s hoping Shay Mitchell somehow returns in whatever form to make Joe’s life total hell.
You is streaming on Netflix now.
