Reese Witherspoon Seems Pretty Keen To Make ‘Legally Blonde 3’ Happen

For the past few days, Reese Witherspoon has had us bending and snapping with excitement, dropping hints that she may be down to do a third film in the Legally Blonde series.
During a recent interview with Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe, the actress said:
“A lot of writers … over the years have come up with different ideas for it. I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”

Legally Blonde 2 ended with a strong hint that Elle Woods might consider running for President of the United States some day (we have seen Legally Blonde 2 more times than we care to admit) and Witherspoon said that’s definitely not out of the question.

Overnight, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Witherspoon said that, after her initial comments, the Legally Blonde screenwriters contacted her to say that they’re “going to think about” writing another sequel.
Look, the bottom line here is that Legally Blonde 3 is the movie the world needs right now. As Witherspoon put it:
“I think it’s a really great time to talk about women in politics because we need more women in politics. We’re 50 percent of the population but we’re only 17 percent of the government. We need some balance there.”
.
YOU CAN DO THIS, REESE WITHERSPOON. PLEASE MAKE THIS NECESSARY AND IMPORTANT MOVIE HAPPEN, FOR ALL OF US.
