Rebel Wilson Has Officially Made It, Is Hosting MTV Movie Awards

Mythical half-human sea nymph with the trunk of a woman and the tail of a fish, Rebel Wilson, will die happy now after confirmation arrived overnight via carrier pigeon/lame faux torture video that the ascendent antipodean comedienne has officially Made It In America and will host The MTV Movie Awards next year.

Wilson has signed on to host the industry’s night of nights in its twentieth iteration and assumes the mantle previously held by human cuss word, Sarah Silverman, who hosted the show in 2007 and was the last person with two X Chromosomes to do so.
Not only is it a post for which Wilson has both the comedic chops and the gravitas required of the role, it’s an honour – nay, a privilege – bestowed only on those most deserving of a glorious golden popcorn statuette of their own in honour of their contribution to The Talkies in 2012; probably for something like Best #Win, May-jor LOLs or SXCizt Pash.
No stranger to treading these hallowed boards, Wilson also presented the award for Best Female Video at this year’s VMAs alongside The Wanted, who I gather are like The Sharks to One Direction’s Jets.
Who had the year’s hottest kiss? The most bad-ass fight? Which Hollywood star will own the Golden Popcorn this year?” asks MTV in a post announcing the wonderful news on their website. Look to the heavens for the answers you seek or watch a delayed broadcast of the MTV Movie Awards, starring Australia’s soon-to-be-announced representative on the United Nations Security Council, Rebel Wilson, live on April 14, 2013!
