Read Every Playboy Ever Made (For The Articles) On iPad

Playboy Magazine has just launched an iPad-ready subscription application which allows users to view every one of their issues from over half a century of publication.

Hugh Hefner‘s famous men’s magazine may be over the hill (it’s fifty seven years old), but that doesn’t mean it isn’t keeping up with the times. Every page from the first issue in 1953, which featured Marilyn Monroe on the cover, through to the present day has been optimised for use on Apple’s latest gadget which discerning patrons can access for as little as $8/month. And to circumvent Apple’s content restrictions, the app gives way to a web-based platform for all the tasteful nudity you could ever want.

For those thinking it’s all just T&A, Playboy has a long history of publishing short stories from literary greats like Maragret Atwood and Vladimir Nabakov as well as interviews with the likes of John Lennon & Yoko Ono. There are also dozens of high-profile celebrities in the buff, but you probably already knew that. iPad afficionados and boob-lovers can check out what’s on offer over at iPlayboy.
