CHILLS: Rami Malek *Is* Freddie Mercury In New ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Footage

Alright, that’s it. Every other contender for ‘Best Actor’ at the 2019 Academy Awards can go home now. Rami Malek has got this in the bag.

The actor is set to play legendary frontman Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which chronicles the events of the years leading up to Queen‘s iconic performance at the Live Aid concert in 1985.

Earlier this month, the first image of Malek as Mercury was released, and we sat back in quiet relief and anticipation of what may be the biopic of the decade.

But now The Sun has obtained footage of Malek taking the stage at Wembley Stadium to perform ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and honestly, he IS Mercury.

Tell me you don’t get chills watching this.

Of course, it’s not actually Wembley Stadium (it’s a stage in a field somewhere) but that doesn’t make any of this less thrilling.

It looks like Malek has learnt to move, breathe, dance, sing and perform like Mercury, and come Oscars time, he’s going to damn well be rewarded for it.

Here’s Freddie Mercury’s iconic performance for comparison.
