Attention All You Slack Ass Molls: A Third Season Of Aussie TV Fave Puberty Blues May Be Coming

Puberty Blues

Shut up you fish-face moll, because a third season the bestselling book turned TV series, Puberty Blues, may be coming!!!! I have literally never been so excited in my life (and I’ve seen both Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue live in concert).

Yep, remember David (played by Ed Oxenbould) from Puberty Blues? Well he’s been smashing the TikToks lately and the latest one to come from the child star is the revelation that Puberty Blues season three is finally coming after seven years.

It’s been a long-time since season two aired, so I don’t blame you for forgetting how the show ended. Unless, you’ve been binge-watching the episodes like crazy ever since the show came to Netflix (like me).

Season two ends on a cliff-hanger and involves Debbie (Ashleigh Cummings) and Sue (Brenna Harding) running away together. The ending hints that there is more in store for our main characters, but sadly we never got to see how things turned out for Debbie and Sue.

If a third season is actually coming, it obviously wouldn’t be able to pick up from where it left off – because the actors are much older now. I imagine it would be similar to the Gilmore Girls revival, where you see Rory Gilmore all grown up and living her life as a struggling millennial.

But can we really take Ed Oxenbould’s word for it? If he’s anything like his character David, then lying about another season is exactly like something he’d do. Remember when he wrote his name on his neighbours garage and put a frog in his mum’s soup?

However, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Netflix, it’s that they love to bring shows back. Not only that, but it seems a tiny bit suspicious that Puberty Blues has only now come to Australian Netflix?

If they are intending to film soon, then now is the perfect time to build hype and get everyone excited for Chiko rolls and Cheezels again.

More importantly though, I hope Netflix doesn’t waste an opportunity to say “you’re dropped” when the show indeed, drops.

Rewatch the series here.
