Proud To Say That ‘Straya Did Bloody Well In The 2017 Golden Globe Noms

The nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes came out early this morning, and there’s just a bloody stupid amount of talent across the 25 categories.
But Australia should be experiencing a helluva lot of pride, because considering that we are but a giant faraway island, we’ve got a extremely decent amount of nominations in there.
The nominations have of course gone to ~The Big Aussie Trio~: Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, and Joel Edgerton

Mel Gibson‘s film ‘Hacksaw Ridge‘ is nominated for Best Motion Picture, and Gibson himself is up for Best Director.
The movie was filmed entirely in Australia, and plus, Andrew Garfield is also nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for the huge film.

Ya girl Nicole Kidman is nommed for Best Actress in a Drama for her role in Google Earth drama ‘Lion‘. The emotional film, which also stars Dev Patel, is also up for Best Motion Picture.

And finally, Joel Edgerton is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama for ‘Loving‘, a film about a loving, happy couple who are jailed and banished by the state of Virginia because they are interracial.
