Good news in a way, but also bad news if you thought you were done sinking hours of your life into doing mad dungeon crawls with your grizzled looking orc barbarian: Skyrim is getting a fancy re-release into the world of HD.
Bethesda announced “Skyrim: Special Edition” at E3 today, giving fans of the game a way nicer looking experience on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The Special Edition will add volumetric lighting, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections and, most importantly, the ability to use mods on console, which is super awesome if you’ve been mad keen to get one of the ones that makes everyone naked all the time.
Check out the difference, as demonstrated in this embarrassingly low quality GIF:

It’s coming out in October, so until then you’ll just have to keep playing on the now outdated graphics that still would have made someone in 1996 shit themselves.
