Upcoming comedic web series Plonk satirises the dry pretentiousness of the Australian wine industry and the people who lap it up, casting The Chaser’s Chris Taylor to play a douche bag version of himself as the self-serious host of a TV show about the various wine regions of Australia. Along for the ride are writer, director and producer Nathan Earl who plays the show’s producer and Joshua Tyler, an “expert” who writes his own wine blog called Shirazamataz.
