Back in May, South African golfer, Jared Harvey, recorded a cutesy voice message for his girlfriend, only he didn’t send it to her, he accidentally sent it to a WhatsApp group chat full of his mates. As is the universal rule in all group chats, any content mistakenly dropped in such a place is fair game for ridicule, which is pretty well what happened in this case.

One of Jared’s mates leaked the clip and it spread like wildfire around South Africa because, well, Jared has a pretty special pet name thing going on. While the nicknames themselves are fairly amusing, it’s more the fact that he uses them 18 bloody times in just a little over 1 minute. That is far too many times, Jared.
He switches between variations of “my bok-bok”, “my special person”, and “my du-du-bear”, all of which are certainly, uh, unique. Take a listen for yourself below.
Jesus, Jared, settle down mate. I’d also like to point out how unsettling it sounds to call someone “my special person”. Never do this.
As it turns out, old mate is pretty chill with the whole the thing but seems fairly disappointed that he was dogged by one of the boys. Sorry mate, you know the rules.
So what’s he gonna call his girlfriend now that all his names are out there? “I think there’s about eight different nicknames that I call my missus, so I think I’m gonna have to sit down and really work this one out, I think I’m empty for now,” he says in the video.
Jared, again, this is too much. Tone it down, please.
