P!NK Reveals Her & Her Son’s Coronavirus Diagnosis Before Slamming US Government’s Response

US pop singer Pink and her three-year-old son Jameson have both tested positive to COVID-19, two weeks after developing symptoms.

The 40-year-old musician took to Instagram to reveal her diagnosis, alongside a scathing criticism of the US government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19,” Pink began the lengthy caption.

Thankfully, both Pink and her three-year-old son have both been cleared of the virus after two weeks in isolation at home in California.

Throughout the post, Pink (real name Alicia Beth Moore) described how fortunate she was to have access to the tests, before criticising the lack of access to tests across the country.

“It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible. This illness is serious and real,” she said. “People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities.”

The charitable queen also donated a whopping $500,000 each (approximately $833,611AUD) to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund and the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

Yes. She dropped a casual million dollars in charitable donations just months after she gave $500,000 to Australia’s own bushfire efforts.

It’s easy to hate on the rich and famous, especially when times get tough. But we simply can’t help but stan a woman who not only stands up for injustices in her country, but also puts her money where her mouth is when it comes to important causes.

After thanking our emergency services workers who are literally saving lives right now, Pink offered a simple, yet effective word of advice.

“These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.”

You heard the woman! Stay the fuck home. Stay. The. Fuck. Home.
