GoFundMe Deletes Shady Campaign To Raise Cash For “Homeless” Pete Davidson

The relationship between Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, which came to a shuddering halt over the weekend, captivated the public for one primary reason: the singer and Saturday Night Live cast member are both immensely famous and successful, but Grande is still the bigger celebrity. By far.

That’s fine. Not everyone can be a pop megastar. But now the pair have broken up, people are drawing attention to that dichotomy. And by ‘drawing attention’, we mean firing shotgun cartridges full of rock salt straight into the wound.

GoFundMe has reportedly deleted a fundraiser seeking $3,500 so that Davidson, who recently moved into Grande’s $22 million apartment in New York City, would be able to afford somewhere to sleep.

Screenshots of the appeal posted on social media show a snarky campaigner asked for funds to help the “homeless” Davidson, a man who, in all honesty, is probably more than capable of living a really bloody comfortable life on his own.

The fundraiser was removed before reaching its goal.

FWIW, Davidson joked to GQ about the luxe digs back in August, saying “She’s like, ‘This is our house,’ and I’m like, ‘You’re very nice for saying that. Thank you for letting me stay here.’”

The GoFundMe thing is one of many, many spicy takes on the split to have populated social media in the past twenty four hours. Still, neither Davidson nor Grande have publicly addressed the split. Chances are Davidson was too busy sleeping in some other insanely nice NYC apartment.
