FX released the first (and utterly fucked) teasers for the latest season on Snapchat, and while it tells us next-to-nothing about the plot, characters and if god the devil Ryan Murphy listened to our prayers and recast Jessica Lange, it is something.

CLIP ONE: There’s a farm house in the distance, and it’s billowing smoke. We can hear a storm approaching, a chainsaw starting up, and a woman’s screams. Gettin’ serious Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibes here, as well as every classic horror movie set in America‘s dustbowl.
CLIP TWO: We’ve got a mobile-of-horrors dangling above a bassinet (we assume). There’s also some creepy as shit lullaby being sung in the background, and A HAND THAT IS IN NO WAY HUMAN APPEARS. FUCK.
CLIP THREE: A staircase. Full of hands. One grabs onto a person’s bare foot. This is exactly what your nightmares of turning out the lights and going upstairs are made off. Fuck you, AHS.
While deets about AHS S6 are low on the ground, there’s a popular theory that it follows the devil child spawned at the end of season one (his name is Michael, fyi) – y’know, the one that Jessica Lange’s character Constance steals after Vivian (Connie Britton) dies in childbirth.

Confirmed cast members include Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Matt Bomer. Sarah Paulson hasn’t officially confirmed she’s coming back yet, but Bassett revealed in an interview that her character will work closely with Paulson’s in some way, so there ya go.
