More and more, Twitter is being used as a tool for celebrity verbal warfare with good old schoolyard name-calling as the weapon of choice (my recent favourite is Brian McFadden’s “pig-faced mole” comment) – and has subsequently moved from being a social networking device into a 24 hour entertainment channel for the masses.
The latest Battle Of The Tweets has been going down only moments ago between gossip blogger Perez Hilton and reality tv jerk Spencer Pratt, which started from a post on Hilton’s website that referred to Pratt as a “dumbass” and “douche”, kicking off an epic showdown which, more than anything, exposed Spencer Pratt’s inability to spell. Dumbass.
