Let Paul Rudd & Jimmy Fallon Spin You Round In This Dead Or Alive Remake

Paul Rudd

Out of all the weird as hell videos to come out of the Avengers: Endgame press tour, this just has to take the cake. It’s international treasure Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon in a shot-to-shot remake of Dead Or Alive‘s 1985 music video of classic bop ‘You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)’ complete with intense eyeliner, the hair, and the eye patch.

Rudd appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to hype Endgame, which hits cinemas today in the United States of A. For whatever reason, the duo collaborated on this remake and you can add it to the list of things you didn’t know you absolutely needed in life.

Behold, Rudd as Pete Burns.

It’s Friday night and I can’t stop laughing at this.

If you doubt the talent, this work of art really is a shot-to-shot remake.

Of their spectacular performance, Fallon said Rudd spent the whole day in the studio filming the clip.

“It really is us singing on that song,” he added.

Amazingly enough, this isn’t the first time Rudd and Fallon have linked up on a classic remake. Back in 2016, the duo recreated Styx‘s 1981 music video for ‘Too Much Time On My Hands’Do give it a look if you want to see Paul Rudd in a blonde wig. Oh, and because they just can’t be stopped, they also recreated Go West‘s ‘King of Wishful Thinking’. Watch it, please.

Rudd also chatted about all the recent travelling he’s done as part of the Endgame press tour and this one time he fainted during a flight to Hong Kong.

“I had two bowls of soup then I went to the bathroom and as I was getting ready to go to the bathroom, I started feeling really dizzy and I remember the handle – I went to reach for it and went ‘whoa’ then I just blacked out and the next thing I knew, there was somebody banging on the door and my right arm was completely submerged in the toilet and my left hand was around my penis.”

Paul Rudd, everyone.

Turns out, the actor is allergic to MSG. The more you know.

You can catch Avengers: Endgame in cinemas now.
