Paris Hilton has spoken out about the iconic car photo she took with Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears back in the early 2000s and I quite literally do not care about anything else.

The year was 2006, Paris and then-bestie Britney Spears were leaving a party at the Beverley Hills Hotel, Lindsay Lohan claimed Paris “hit” her and was now being swarmed in a media frenzy. It’s a night that lives so rent-free in my brain that I even recorded a whole podcast on it.

But now, Paris has spilled even more tea on the situation on the most recent episode of her This Is Paris podcast.

“That was a night that Britney and I went out, and we were at the Beverly Hills Hotel, at our friend’s party, and we decided to leave to go home,” Paris explained. “We were walking to the car and all of as suddenly got swarmed by a tonne of paparazzi. Just as we got to the car, that’s when Lindsay came up. It was kind of awkward because we were having some drama.”

Many people remember the car photo, but very few realise that this is also the ‘Paris hit me’ night. I mean, if the It Girls of the early 2000s gave us anything, it was a constant feed of drama. Inject that shit into my veins.

“As we were getting into the car, a paparazzi screamed at me, ‘Is it true that you hit Lindsay?’ And at that moment I see Lindsay walking towards us, and I said ‘Why don’t you just ask her?’ And Lindsay said… ‘No, Paris would never hit me, I’ve known her since I was 15.’ It was basically just, not admitting what she did. It was quite awkward to be asked that question, and it was just weird how that whole thing happened.”

Aaaaand that’s when Linds just jumped in the car with them like they were pals.

“All of a sudden, I look over, and she’s in my car. We weren’t getting along, but I was polite,” Paris said.

Honestly, you have to applaud Paris and Britney for being polite about it and saving Lindsay from a paparazzi shit show.

Throughout the ep, Paris also explained how weird it was that the media ate it up like they were the three best friends that anyone could have when, in reality, Lindsay wasn’t invited.

“We saw it on the cover of the NY Post, all these different magazines,” Paris said. “They had literally no idea it was just me and Britney out, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, just going home.”

I’m glad that all of our favourite early 2000s it girls are living normal lives now but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the drama.
