Osher Reared His Noggin In ‘Offspring’ & The Punters Are Bloody Loving It

The man of a million roses – seriously, his rose supplier must be making a mint – Osher Günsberg reared his handsome head on the new, seventh season of ‘Offspring‘ tonight for a wee bit of cross-promotion, and the fans were decidedly into it.

I for one 100% believe that Nina Proudman is such a dedicated ‘Bachelor‘ fan that of course Günsberg would come up in one of her many fantasy sequences – tbh I’m surprised he hasn’t before today. Would also totally watch a Matty J guest spot if you’re reading, Channel 10.

He popped up on the long-running series to “Osher” (lol) Asher Keddie‘s Nina through a painful dinner between herself, her tall, broad, blonde, bland boyfriend Harry (Alexander England), and Harry’s ex, who he apparently dated for ten whole years, as played by ‘Please Like Me”s Emily Barclay.

On his Brissy brekkie radio show on Hit105 today Günsberg admitted that he struggled with his little role, even after being on television for about 20 years, having started out at Channel V back in ’99. He said that he felt “embarrassed” for having to do multiple takes, particularly in front of Keddie who he described as “dripping in Logies“:

“Twenty something years of television – when I’m on TV, I look straight down the camera ’cause that’s my job, but in a drama you never break the fourth wall… You never look down the camera.

“And so as soon as the camera arrives, I’m doing all the lines and stuff and [I hear] ‘Cut, Osher, can you not look down the camera?’“

Luckily the fans did not mind at all, because we are all Nina, and we would all like to have Günsberg by our sides during climactic moments in our relationships.
