Olivia Munn has come out swinging against reports she is dating actor Justin Theroux, who recently split from Jennifer Aniston, taking to social media to preempt a story that was apparently due to run in US tabloids this week.
Yesterday, via her Instagram stories, Munn shared a screenshot of a text conversation with her publicist, who informed her that In Touch was preparing a story in which “sources” claimed she and Theroux are “heading towards a romance.”
“Oh my god,” Munn said. “That is so stupid.”
“I know,” replied her publicist. “I will try and shoot it down. But they will still run with it.”
To get around the article, Munn decided to clear things up herself, writing directly to her followers to say:
Since they said they’re running that story even if we said it’s 100 million percent not true, I thought I’d just let you guys know on my own that it’s not.
She continued:
Dear Tabloids, Please stop matching me with my friends’ exes. No disrespect to people who do date their friends’ exes, that’s just not my style. Kthxbye!
To further clear things up, she posted a flashback photo of herself with her Office Christmas Party co-star Aniston, with the hashtag “girlfriends.”

Earlier this year, there were rumours that Olivia Munn was dating the newly-separated Chris Pratt, and Munn once again shut that down, sharing a screenshot of a text she sent to her friend Anna Faris that read:
I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth. I’m sure you already know it’s not true, or maybe didn’t care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to say it’s not true.
So there you have it, Olivia Munn is not smanging on with Chris Pratt or Justin Theroux and we can all get on with our days.
