It’s confirmed: MMA fighter Ronda Rousey will be appearing in Sports Illustrated‘s 2016 swimsuit issue wearing nothing but body paint. Yep, that’s right – she’s photographed in a We Are Handsome-inspired cossie that took 14 hours to paint and would be lucky to last 14 seconds in the water.
“I was one of the lucky few chosen to be a canvas for a hand painted masterpiece by [body paint artist Joanne Gair] @joannegair that took 14 hours to put on and be photographed by the brilliant [Frederic Pinet] @fredericpinet,” she wrote. “Can’t wait to show you guys the final pics [when] the issue hits stands!”
Given a few of those pesky paparazzo nabbed a few shots of the beach-side shoot, SI published a couple behind-the-scenes teasers till the official pics hit newsstands next month, stating in all caps that “SHE’S FLAWLESS.”
BTW guys, you can buy the actual We Are Handsome swimsuit for $220 HERE. Mad props to the Aussie designers for getting featured in SI, tbqh, who told PEDESTRIAN.TV that they’re “thrilled” with it. (Same, tho.)
